High up without the effort.

In summer the Bellamonte 3.0 gondola climbs from Castelir to Le Fassane and on to La Morea. From there start both the easiest walk in the area and the lakes circuit for those who walk all day.

  • 2026 season on the Bellamonte side: from 13 June to 13 September, from 9:00 to 12:45 and from 14:00 to 17:15 (non-stop from 2 to 23 August)
  • Morea – Malga Bocche nature trail: forest road no. 623, 4.5 km, about 1 h 20’ one way, +40 m; suitable for all-terrain pushchairs and mountain bikes
  • Malga Bocche, at 1,946 m
  • Lusia Lakes circuit: about 12–13 km, 5 hours, +600 m, up to the saddle at 2,363 m, among First World War remains

02 · PANEVEGGIO PARK

The forest of violins.

The Paneveggio – Pale di San Martino Nature Park begins just a few minutes from the residence: a spruce forest that provides the resonance wood for musical instruments, and deer that have returned to the woods.

  • Lake Forte Buso (or Paneveggio): about 4 km from the residence
  • Paneveggio visitor centre, in a former sawmill from 1919, with the deer enclosure: about 7 km
  • Forest of Violins: about 90% spruce; the resonance wood goes to the violin makers of Cremona and to soundboard builders
  • Marciò trail: circuit of about 2 km, 1 hour, with a suspension bridge over the Travignolo gorge; suitable for pushchairs and people with reduced mobility
  • From the few deer that escaped the enclosure in 1963, over 2,000 now live in the woods

Facing the Pale di San Martino.

From Pian dei Casoni, about 10.5 km from the residence, the forest road climbs towards the mountain huts of Val Venegia, with the Pale di San Martino straight ahead.

The Alpe Lusia family park is at the Le Fassane mid-station, at 1,750 m: you go up by gondola from Castelir, about 3 km from the residence.

Lift times

On the Bellamonte side the gondola breaks from 12:45 to 14:00, except from 2 to 23 August: plan your descent accordingly.

Parking

In Val Venegia the Pian dei Casoni car park is chargeable; the Paneveggio visitor centre is 7 km from the residence.

High up

The Lusia Lakes circuit goes above 2,300 m: hiking boots, water and an early morning start.
